Help the shelter project...
Hello my lovely people, follower and sponsor of this little project.
Last Saturday was the day where we started to buy lots of food and deliver this to a shelter.
The first idea of mine was to bring it to the big shelter in Berlin, where i am living but to be honest i wasnt really amused about their behave when i called them. The answer was: Oh cool. Send it to our bank account, thanks! Thats it.
I was really pissed about that and felt a little bit like 539 euros isnt enough. When i was reading more on their homepage i realised why. Reading that people will get a star on their ground when they donate 10000 euros, made me realizing that our 539 euros mean nothing to them and most likely they would not buy food for the animals when i just send it to their bank account.
After thinking about this a while , i got a shelter in mind. One where my heart is with, cause many many years ago, when i was studying in this region of germany, i adopted a dog from there. I called her Sushi and she was at my side for some years. I never met a dog like her again. Her character was unique where ever she came along she left something positive.
So we made a day trip, back and forth over 1200 km to buy food and bring it to this one shelter. All in all i payed 360,91euros for the food we got. We got lots of fresh meat food, without grain. For dogs and cats. Wet food and dry food. We got fresh food for the little ones like rabbits and rats etc. We got 3 big packages of washing powder. And also some dry food for the rabbits and other little ones as well. The trunk was full and in the end i had 180 euros left still, to make an other trip and buy food again next week. In case someone want to see the reciepts , just shoot me an message. I kept them and would love to show what we paid for this quality food. They was so happy and grateful and once they update the Homepage i will show the link in an other post so you see every thing was fine. They promised to show a picture from our tour there as well.
I could not post earlier. Saturday i felt asleep almost when i started to write this blog post. The day and trip was long and i needed to sleep at one point. Sunday, was mothers day and also a day for me to relax a little bit.
I will continue selling gachas and do pictures for people online and all money made through this will move in this "help the shelter" project still.
